Just thought I'd let you guys know about my new toy. Has anybody any sort of tips regarding the said thing? Done anything interesting with one?

    Congrats.

Ebows are the best. They do everything, dont they? Keep it in good health, buddy.

I have had an Ebow for about 6 or 7 years. I only use it on g****rs and have difficulty using it on bass.

I use mine (along with some effects) to create synth drones.

One way to make it easier to use is to lean the side of the E-bow against the string above or below the string you're playing -- and then move the bottom of the E-bow closer until you get the string vibrating. Instead of hold it parallel to the string, you're holding it at an angle, but it works just as well, and it's easier to hold steady.
