life is killing me just brought it home. sounds awesome. i really dig the tone pete gets in "...a dish best served coldly." sounds really cool. and that's an esh played through a peavey rig? with boss pedals? wow...ok, you guys should go out and pick this up. it's the quintessential ton. good stuff
I've only heard "I Don't Wanna Be Me" on the radio. Decent song. There's no Type O song I don't like. There's just something about Peter Steele's voice that grabs me. Are there any slower songs on the new album?
Cool, I always liked Typ 0. (October Rust is one of my favorite albums) I could usually never decipher Pete's playing though. It's always buried under the guitar.
there are a couple slow tunes on there. i really like the dream is dead...and the instrumental track right before that one, drunk is paris is tres cool, as well..a dish better served cold is another one of the cool slower tunes...pete gets a really sweet clean tone on that song. i think it's a great album, but not as great as i thought world coming down was.
aww, come on...has anyone else checked this out yet? after listening to it over and over again for the past week and a half, it's starting to grow more and more on me...great album!
Yes indeedy, it's an awesome album. Classic TON - slow depressing songs, and fast funny songs (Angry Inch )
This album is further proof that Type-O is, and will forever be, my favorite band. they don't get nearly the respect and admiration that they deserve. The new one is definitely great, but it'll be hard to top the genius that went into October Rust. That is their "Master of Puppets" in my opinion.
ok, check it out....there are some new dates on the website...and on the roadrunner site is their new video for "i don't wanna be me." pretty cool....kind of a different approach for type o...i like it though
frist ever show i went to was coal chamber and type o and two othere bands. i was getting in to type o befor i went cause they were headlining it, i figured i should check them out, then when i saw them omg, i was standing next to a speakerright up front. peter did some thing like flicked some thing on his bass and liek stop playing but there was just bass comming from the speakers but he wasnt playing. i think he has that werid pickups that keeps ur strings moving so the not never ends . but the sound liek hit me and i felt werid all most the brown note
umm, pete only goes down to 31Hz...and yeah, he has a sustainer pickup in one of his fernandes basses. they're discontinued now, but it's kind of like an e-bow. hooyah
i new he had in it in his bass. i just forgot what its called, can u still buy it for a bass(used).well any way iment he like did soem thing and stop playing and all u could feel was the bass. it made me and my freind feel werid, same thing happen to me at a system of a down show the bass player hit all the strings with his plam at the end of a song and all u could feel was the bass ,that made me puke.
Damn. So many albums I need to get and so little money. Type O Negative is one of my favorites and I still don't even have World Coming Down! What kind of a fan am I?! Bloody Kisses is still my favorite while October Rust comes in at close second.
world coming down is a pretty depressing album, but i really like it. the compilation album, least worst of, was pretty good with it's unreleased tracks...you gotta get the new one, though. great stuff
