New used walkabout

    Picked up for $350 after tax! No real reason to post. I'm just super happy to finally have my mesa boogie 2x12 walkabout combo. In wine red Taurus and tan grill. Sounds awesome. Maybe not as great as the standard walkabout scout 8 ohm I've been gigging for 6 years. But really great, and maybe I have $500 into it. Deal of the century.

    Whoa! $350?? That is a better deal than my Aerodyne I bought for $300.. nice score!

    I didn't know that the Walkabout was available as a 2x12 combo. I had a Walkabout Scout 1x12 for a few years and loved it. I still kind of kick myself for ever selling it.

    I'm pretty sure he's speaking of the 'combo' of a Walkabout head and a 2x12 Mesa cab. I'm glad to have experienced the Walkabout amp - it's a fine piece of gear! I ended up combining mine with a Baer ML-112 for more mids & highs than the combo cab delivered.

    It is a 2x12 Mesa combo cab, with a walkabout in it , Indtead of a carbine. I've been holding onto this cab for over a year for this. And the head was bought from a legitimate store. Www.nstuffmusic.com, so I know it's legitimate.

    Now my 3 rigs are.

    An 8 ohm 1x12 walkabout scout combo.

    A 4 ohm 2x12 Mesa boogie airhead walkabout combo.

    And a 4x12 swr 12stack with a Mesa boogie Titan sitting on top. Running at 8 ohms.

    All three sound amazing. But the 2x12 with the walkabout inside was the deal of the century.

    The purple box is an empty mesaboogie headcase, I retolexed in purple. It has nothing to do with the walkabout combo. And yes it sounds amazing.

    Killer set up. I plug my WA through my Mesa 2x12 combo cab as well at times. BTW,nstuff music is an awesome place. Haven't been out there for a few years but they had TONS of great equipment.
