    I was just casually talking to Nino a couple of months ago about maybe wanting a vintage PJ with a P body. So what does he do? He goes ahead and builds it.

    Full review coming as soon as I can get my hands on it. :hyper:

    PJ5_013.
    PJ5_010.

    Apparently, this is Nino's first 5-string with USACG parts. They have a flatter profile neck and a 12" radius (my favorite).

    Killer spec:

    Valenti Vintage PJ-5
    * Alder Body
    * '59 burst w/Tort guard
    * Maple neck w/Rosewood board (clay dots)
    * Nordstrand NJ5S and NP5 pickups
    * Aguilar OBP-1 w/VTC
    * Controls: Vol - Blend - VTC (with P/P for Active/Passive) - T/B

    Man, I need a less expensive hobby.

    the bass look great!
    There is so many bass I want...
    GAS is really bad lately. And a 5 string P bass is one the bass I am gasing for.
    Let me know how it sound passive (if there is a passive option).

    Will do, as it does have a passive mode. I'm gonna give it a thorough workout. Any special clips you'd want to hear?

    yes!
    If it's possible.

    Passive with both pick ups and passive with neck pick up.

    Finger style.

    Slow rythm... I can't really hear the sound of the bass really well with a fast 16th notes stacato funk...

    Thanks!

    Hum-cancelling.

    Neato. I'll be giving my PJ a "hum-cancelling J pickup" treatment soonish, as the hum annoys me. Too bad Nordstrand pickups seem to be impossible to get hold of over here.

    Nino just keeps churning em out. If I hadn't just bought another Roscoe, I would be contacting him to build me one. By next year at this time, I will have one.:)

    That is definitely the most beautiful, breathtaking fender-style bass that I've ever seen. I've never dropped my jaw at a fender-looking bass before, until just now.

    Lucky bastard.

    I love that lighter-colored fretboard. Great looking bass.

    You're making my GAS for a P/J 5er even worse! Soundclips!!

    Soundclips indeed! I'm deciding between getting a nordie loaded P/FS or FS/FS Valenti, so your clips will be mucho beneficial:D
