The Alleva-Coppolo arrives on Monday. I will post some pictures then.

And yes, it has been a nice start to the New Year. Though once the Valenti arrives I will cool it for a while. Well...:help:

My Lecompte is not ready yet that I am already planing another bass. I've been a few years without a new bass and now it seem like I can't stop...

Your bass will look really really nice!!

My valenti gas is actually at an all time high. Unfortunately, very poor timing, heh.

Yeah, timing can be a tricky beast...

I just closed my eyes and sent the email...then the PayPal payment. It's like taking off a band-aid, just do it quickly.

Normally, I'm not a huge fan of quilted tops, but that's going to be a real beauty there . . .

    Nice fretboard choice, too!!!

Thanks. My 6 year old has now discovered Star Wars. Maybe I subconsciously ordered a Darth Valenti...

    Nino's wiring is so.......clean.

How the heck does he do his wiring so neatly?

    West Coast,
First of all, beautiful bass, love your choices. Good luck and congrats!! Please post some mp3's after the honeymoon.

Curious about one choice you made, you chose 21 frets. I know that's an old Fender style but did you didn't chose 22 or 24 frets as is the trend with many newer basses. Why did you go with 21 if I may be so bold?

I was wondering the exact same thing. Everytime i wire something up it looks sloppy even though i atemp to make it look decent.

Sweet top man!! I'll be curious to know how you like the Nordies. I'm having a bss built and I'm toying with the idea of switching to Nordie PU's from the Barts I originally spec'd out. Looks like it's gonna be a killer! Keep us posted.

Make it +2. That quilt is drop dead gorgeous and expertly matched up to bring out the figuring.

Looking forward to seeing the completion of this one (although probably not as much as you) :hyper:

I've got to join this thread!! West Coast, your bass is just beautiful. From one bassist who's building a black bass to another....you've got good taste!:D

It's also funny, mine will have Nordstrand pickups too!

    Really nice work Nino!!
