After a long serch for a good 5 string i think i have found it, finding this bass was no easy task but a fellow talk basser was ready to part with his dont worry Mark it wii have a good home in the monastery. Here are some pics
when's it gonna be my turn? I want in the Warwick fold ,dammit! Major Metal, sweet bass...the flame maple top is so much nicer than the birdseye top.
Sweet! The Infinity's are the best Warwick I've ever played, what a tone monster. Give us a report after you've spent some time with it.
Thats strange. Infinitys come with MEC Jazz and Twinjazz pus; the neck one is clearly an upgrade, but the bridge MM looks like it says MEC - was this a special edition with Jazz neck and MM bridge or just upgraded? if so, why a MEC MM pu instead of like Seymour Duncan or Bartolini, does this sound better? just curious...
Now I see. it IS a special edition. If the original Infinity LTD 2000 was modified, it would still show the four holes of the Twinjazz pu's height-adjustment screw at the side of the pu; but there are no holes there... So... that means you have an Infinity LTD 2000 Special! Congrats!
It's a prototype model, according to Dale Titus the first one sold to the US. You'll notice it has a pickup switch the production models don't feature.
Uhuh. I only looked at the pus as they were more strikingly different from the older ones. Cool, though
Awesome! Infinity basses look so groovy. I've never played one. How's she feel? How's she sound?
Thanks guys i am still getting the feel for it but it is so wonderfully crafted, just need to get the action down. The best way to describe the sound is very acoustical lots of mids. I will give more updates as they develop.
Trying to place the body style i would say it is similar in a sense to fortress flash back, new and old ideas put into one bass. I am still getting used to the neck but i think it need to calm down from all of the humidity. One the action gets just right i would say this will have very good acsesibility to the second octive.
