New York Bass Works...

    Anybody know anything about this company??? Are they an off-shoot of Fodera? Their styles look a little similar..

    They're a small, Long Island company run by a guy named Dave Seagle. They aren't associated at all with Fodera. I sold one for a guy about 18 months ago and remember it being a really good bass. It was a fretless six model called the "deep jazz". It sounded a lot like a good Jass bass, but with a B and C string. I think it was a 35.5" scale. The neck was straight as an arrow. I also knew someone who had a beautiful sunburst PJ six NYBW. I never played it, but it looked nice.
