I've been watching this show online. Pretty funny. Anyone else seen it?

  2. I kept missing it. Some of it was funny, but a lot was cringeworthy over the top beating the broke musician joke 500 ways. I wanted to strangle Ivy and the gui**** equally.

Once upon a time I jammed with the guy who played the singer. Small country. Half of the musicians could probably say same.

Really?!?! That singer is hilarious. So is the drummer.

As an outsider, I think it's funny and light-hearted. Maybe because you're a Kiwi, it's a little too personal to you.

  4. Laughton is a real funny guy. Mean guitar player too. He and his brothers headline festivals with their band Kora.

Kiwi humour is usually way more subtle than that show.

I've never seen a NZ TV show before so I'll take your word for it. I don't know the pc word, but is he Maori?

  6. Kora is a very uncommon name, as in he's the only one I ever heard of, makes me think he had an Islander granddad, but pretty sure he's more Maori than anything else, could be wrong.

  7. Flight Of the Concordes, Kiwis in US, genius stuff.
Xena Warrior Princess, sly Kiwi humour slipped into the standard Hercules fantasy schlock made good ratings in US for ages, until Lucy Lawless got too long in the tooth.
