While working on a friends bass over the weekend (alvarez) when I went to pull the knob off the volume pot, the shaft came with it.....sigh
Im on the hunt for a 500k replacement, long split shaft style.
I will re-use the old resistor on the new pot unless there is a "go-to" replacement/upgrade.

Question is (now im flying the newb colors here) will any of the CTS 500k pots with the right shaft style work for me here?

    Many many thanks in advance.

A CTS split shaft pot should work fine. Just make sure the threaded collar has the correct diameter. Some basses have holes that were cut to accommodate metric pots which are often too small for an imperial pot to fit through. You can enlarge the holes in the bass, of course, but it's easier to just use the correct sized pot if available.
