    Nice web site!!
I play bari sax in a community band and decided to learn bass. I have been a fan of bass all of my life! One of my favorite players is Mel Schacher of Grand Funk.(Did I date myself?)

I was able to pick up a JB Player Professional 4-string and a Peavey TKO-75 amp for $150.00. Was this a good buy?? I am not sure how old this equipment is.

    Thanks!!

  2. Welcome!

It sounds like a great deal to me. A 1990 TKO 115 (75 watts, 1 15inch speaker) was my first real bass amp and I kept it for a very long time,.. didn't need to upgrade until my guitar player did. :)

I'm a big Mel fan too! JB Player is normally going to be a piece of crap. The Peavey amp will be "ok". I guess for $150 you can't really lose though.
