ok I'm looking at basses to learn to play on. My price range is like $300 or under. Also i'm looking at amps about the same price range. In my ignorance I don't know anything to look for in a bass amp etc. I'm just looking for some oppinions

  3. Forbin, why not go to Musiciansfriend.com just to see what's out there? You don't have to buy from them, but, it'll give you a lot of stuff to look at. Then, you can come back here and ask questions about particular basses, and people that own them will chime in with their opinions.

P.S. If you go there, look at the top of the price column; there's an arrow you can click on that will sort the basses by price - High$ to Low$, or Low$ to High$. This way you can go straight to your price range.
  4. Beginner, cheap budget....

    Great bass to learn on.
