(This news is rephrased from "The Tennessean" in the column "Brad About You" by Brad Schmitt, 11 July 2001.) You fans of Brian Marshall, ex-Creed bassist who was "booted from Creed" will be happy to know he has formed a new band, Grand Lux, which debuts July 20 in Nashville. The band will be fronted by Matt Knabe, 23, a Nashville native. Brian and Matt share a house outside of Orlando, Fl. Matt describes the music of their new band as "in the same vein as Creed, but completely different." (????) Knabe also said, "I can't think of how many people I told, 'If I could get in Creed and get rid of that singer (Scott Stapp), it'd be perfect.' '' The show will be an unplugged presentation and will cost $10 at the door.
