I sCored on ebay for once with this fretless Polytone CS6. A Fretless has never felt this effortless to me. It also looks fabulous for any age, let alone 40 or so years. {} {} {} {}
The cat was made in Newfoundland. He weighs 14.5 pounds but is surprisingly comfortable to hold and more resonant with better sustain than a lighter cat. Tonally, Eddie runs the gambit, from glassy, piercing highs to guttural, growly lows. If you play him just right, he purrs like a kitten.
Cat sploot! Now it's a happy day. Those position inlays are immaculate. The machines look really nice. That's a gorgeous bass. Enjoy.
That's pretty cool. I've never seen anything like it. The use of hash marks instead of fret lines was pretty innovative for the time. I'd never seen anyone do that until I saw F Bass do it in the 90s.
wonderfull bass!! and...for what it's worth in Italy we say the fretless bass "miagola" (cat's meow) i.o "mwah"
It’s really the practical solution - put position markers where you can see them, and not where they might mess with the strings’ vibrations.
