Having never played a Yamaha for more than five minutes, I am really digging the tone that the bassist for Radwimps gets out of his bass. I am sure he would make any bass sound good, but still, that Yamaha sounds very nice!

Does anyone know what model the guy is playing?

It looks like a Nathan East signature model to me.

  6. I had a great 4 years with my 2 RBX-775 (fretted and fretless) and would say that from Beginners Basses to High-End models, Yamaha might just have the most consistent basses of any company. Yes, ultra high-end company such as Sadowsky, Smith, Mike Lull, Nordstrand, etc... make killer basses but have no "starter" ones to balance out their production line.

its definitely the east sig model in black, no other bb series bass has block inlays, i have a bb605, discontinued now but its an amazing bass, the stock preamp is pretty limited but the pickups and action are brilliant for such a low cost bass
