Seriously, I love the spalted looked, that body would be the start of a beautiful bass. Now if you could find a Geddy Lee neck to put with it....

Sorry, but that look doesn't appeal to me. Warmoth does put together some nice bodies.

    You mean one of these?

  5. That says it's a 72 RI neck. Yet I can see Geddy's signature on the back. And in all reality the Geddy Lee bass is a 64 RI

Sounds like someone's trying to make more money than they should.

Yeah I've been eyeing that body for awhile. Just don't have the cash to build it right now.

Actually, the guy is mistaken on the year. He states it is from a Geddy in the description. If you check out his other auctions it looks like he's parting out an entire Geddy bass. I'd definately pick that neck up for a future project. Hmmm... maybe I will.

    I thought I read that Geddy's bass is a 72.

Wait. Now that I think about it, the body/neck were 70's and the pickups were 60's reissues, weren't they?

It is. Besides, remember the block inlays? They didn't have those in 64. In fact, I don't think they came around until 66 or 67 IIRC.

I'm thinking a 'revserse' Geddy Neck would look better...

Hmm, I think I like it better without the matching headstock.
