    Nothing like buying a bass with hardshell case off eBay ... and seeing it pulled off the UPS truck in no packaging other than the case itself. Nice.

    Those hard shell cases are pretty sturdy(at least mine is),but I can imagin your reaction.Was there any damage to the instrument?

    Incidentally,what kind of bass did you buy laker?

    Well this post was a bit delayed... as I got it the other day... but it is a Washburn xb-900 and it rocks. I bought it used for 300 bucks. I am just a novice... but I love the sound that comes out of this bass.

    I also got my Washburn XB-900 on Ebay for the same price you did (about $300, mine is the version with 2 Bartolinis) and I like it a lot. I'm pretty sure you'll be happy with it for a long time, that bass sells new for over $1400 on Musician's Friend. It really is the used bass deal to look for, IMO.
