No, the Rex bass is a reduced thunderbird shape with a smaller lower horn area.

    Nikki's was like a chubby Thunderbird! ;)

Three posts and already two people have ignored the "you're allowed 5" rule :p The thread title doesn't exactly match the question of your post (the title is like a thread I posted a while back), so you might want to ask a mod to change it for you.

I guess my five favorite shapes/styles would be:
    1. Elrick e-volution singlecut
    2. Benavente singlecut B style
    3. Benavente singlecut D style
    4. Ritter Okon with asymmetric bottom
    5. Darrin Huff Z-series with scrolled horn

  14. ahhh okies....ive only ever seen the rex...mind you i layed eyes and hands on my first spector today, the performance series 4...feels nice..didnt get to plug it in...from about 5 secconds after picking it up i noticed that the fingerboard was lifting off the neck..mind you it was less than 1mm, so dont ask me how i saw it...but they said to me when i pointed it out to them "damn heath, we need you working here on quality control"
i just said "nahhh..hire me as polish boy, that way i can get dingerprints all over them from playing then cleaning then repeat"....damn that'd be a good job :D

This is a tough one, as there are many great looking basses that appeal to me in varying ways.

Two I'll say right off the bat are the Warwick Fortress and Corvette. What can I say? I love those body shapes, particularly the Fortress. Ever since I first laid eyes on a Warwick in a back cover Bass Player ad back in '92 they've never left the back of my mind. Very recognizable visages.

I really dig the body shape of the Ibanez Ergodyne EDA basses (EDA900, EDA905). It's very futuristic looking and seems pretty ergonomic too. Another instantly recognizable visage.

The Spector NS body shape is a distinctive visage and while it may not be the most visually striking (though stil nice looking) it's a very comfy body to play.

And for sheer badassedness, the Moser Custom Shop Morpheus bass on their website is crazy. It's not a bass. It's a lethal weapon and a chance to commit unintentional seppuku on stage.

EDIT: Honorable mention goes to my Fairlane. Every time someone looks at it, they go "Whoa! That's a cool/pretty/gorgeous/insert-positive-adjective-here bass!"
