what´s the difference between nickel plated and stainless steel strings? i use rotosounds 66 (045) and i am looking for a softer string.

  2. Nickels are not as bright and get nice and thumpy as they age.
I think they have a nice sizzle to em when they are new also.

I like the sizzle on a P-bass, yum. Nickel plates dent easier from fretting, but if you change every 6 months or sooner, it's no problem.
