NiMH rechargeable 9V batteries

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [BG]' started by Peter McFerrin, Dec 13, 2002.

  1. I hate dealing with wall warts and alkaline 9-volts get really expensive, so these look like they might do the trick...and since they're NiMH they don't have the "memory" problem like NiCd batteries do.

Anyone used these in effects or their onboard pre? I already have a NiMH recharger for the batteries for my digital camera, so it wouldn't be that big of a capital outlay.

    Hi,
Yes, they are very good for fx and the like, the only problem I've found is that when they need re charging they go very suddenly, no warning!

  3. OK, I'd probably stick with alkalines for my onboard pre, then. Since I have a mandatory true bypass policy for effects, having batteries crap out wouldn't be that big of a deal.
