    Swamp ash body
    Trans-blue finish w/matching headstock
    35" scale length
    Maple and Purpleheart neck
    Birdseye maple fretbaord*
    Seymour Duncan BassLines ASB2-5 pickups
    Gold hardware:
    -Gotoh GB-7 machines
    -HipShot quick release bridge

    The Good:
The bass LOOKS AWESOME!!!!!! I assembled it in about an hour or two. I love it. The neck feels great, ALOT lighter then my 2 other Warmoth's, Balances very well. The grain of ash is AWESOME. It's not as nice as my either of my Sadowsky's, but it's nice. The headstock is a piece of wuilted maple which looks AWESOME!!!! The birds eye fretboard was a very plesant suprise since I expected a regular grain maple.

    The Bad:
The Gotoh GB-7's didn't fit. :( The hole was too small. I brought it to work & let my tech make the goles a little bigger. Kinda pissed me off a little because the holes were cut for theose spefic tuners, but it was no biggie.

The nut was not included in the order. :( No biggie either, I called them back & it's on it's way. I have a pencil acting as a temporary ntu right now. I wanted to set the action & intoantion so that when the nut arrived, I have as little work as possible to complete the bass.

Well, I wanted one since I saw Groove's & pacman's so I said, "What the hell, what's an extra grand on my LARGE credit card bill?" AND I told my wife that "I'm gonna return the (trans-blue) Sadowsky & order this one, I's $2000 cheaper." Like that really happened. LOL :)

Thanks guys. Right now it's my favorite looking bass. I like the blue w/birds eye fretboard & matching headstock. The neck feels really good, but the necks on my other 5's feel better. Can't wait to get the nut installed so I can give her a real test drive.

When those gecko basses first started appearing on the warmoth website, I wanted one.. and I still want one.. Is the assembling idiot friendly? well not idiot friendly i guess.. I know where all the stuff if supposed to go.. but besides you having to drill some more holes, is that all the work you had to do?

Saweet bass Nino.. I like it mucho:D

It was very easy to assemble. The only problem was that the sleve for the tuning machines didn't fit correctly. The BassLines were as easy to install as EMG's. The only holes that needed to be drilled were for the tuning machines & truss rod cover. All the other holes were already there & all you had to do is screw it in. :) I'm very happy w/how it's turned out so far!!!!

would they make a 34" scale gecko neck?

is the 35" scale one a big stretch out to 1st position, or does the long upper horn cancel it out?

that's the only thing holding me back from building one -

wenge/bubinga neck, wenge board w/out gecko inlay
ash body w/bubinga top and natural oil finish
    ABM brass bridge
    gold hardware
    u-retro deluxe preamp
and a pair of bart soapbars stuck near the bridge.

    mmmmmmmmmmmmm

  19. Nino, You seem to have alot of familarity with Warmoth gear. So I have a question for you if you don't mind. Do you know if they can do other pickup routings for the Gecko series basses? BTW your new machine is a beauty
