    Wii..are not amused. ;)
  6. I hope they don't go under after all this. :scowl::rollno:

Not the name so much, but that craaazy controller!

My theory, as sad as it is? Sony owns everyone in the end- their strategy to wait to release the PS3 and work out technology that allows TWENTY-FIVE GIG DISCS has surpassed everything.

That and the fact that the Xbox 360 had some hardware troubles and certain launch games *COUGH* Perfect Dark Zero *COUGH* sucked. Bring on Halo 3!

What a horrible move by Nintendo. This name is really going to damage their image. Think about it. You have a couple of 16 year old kids deciding what console to buy. Are they going to choose Xbox360, PS3, or... Wii?

Bad move. They should have just kept Revolution.

Im probably gonna get one and i wont be put off by the fact that its no longer called revolution unless wii is written on huge letters on the side or something

I admit the name "Revolution" was less than revolutionary, but this is much, much worse. It's like an Apprentice episode idea that was actually approved.

Maybe it means something good in Japanese?

Since the centerpiece of this system is the new controller, the name should have something to do with that - Axis, Freedom, etc.

Oh, come on, guys! Bad name? Yes. Bad move? I doubt it. Besides, people lap up stupid stuff like that, anyway. I believe it will be a smash.

I'm still getting one, it's the only next-gen console that interests me, and at the expected price what's to lose?
  12. What expected price is it you speak of?
  13. Wii?
    thats kinda funny...
I'm going to pronounce it "we" though...

i still want to try on though :)

This could be one of the coolest systems ever, or a magnificent disaster the likes of which the gaming world has never known.
  15. That is how it is meant to be said, bassman ^_^;;

I will still call it the Revolution.

Not only is nobody going to get fired for it, but someone actually got PAID for it. Amazing.
  17. "Revolution" was kind of self-important and dull, but the explanation they're giving for "Wii" is ridiculous. They should just tell people "It sounds really funny if you scream it."

I was hoping that it was maybe April 1st, but upon looking at the calender, I see that it is not.

I will still end up buying one.
  19. The obvious question hasn't been asked yet...

    Wii? (use alternate pronunciation)

Because I didn't understand a thing that press release said. Was it written by a congressional committee?
