    This is from the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah...what effect is this? or is it even an effect? I know, I asked a question like this before, and I'm new to bass playing and I want to get an effect, and I'm trying to learn what they sound like. Thanks!

    That, my friend, is what we call a good combination of a pick-player with a low-action Fender and a poorly set-up amplifier.

    To help use decide between ******* or genius, we must look at the catalog of recordings by the bass player since then. Using this gauge one must conclude the former.
