Just started gigging last summer. Problem is that I don't have a bass amp and have been spending $45 hard earned gig dollars on rentals. I finally have the money, and I don't want to be a moran buying some stupid ass amp. I'm lookin' at $1000-$1500. Our band plays a tripped out mix of reggae/rock/soul. I'm a converted guitar player, so I really don't know a lot about bass sounds.

I've heard some good things about Eden products. I heard from other players that Ampeg was good, but i rented one and it sounds pretty ****ty to me. Advice anyone?

  2. Well, I'd have to say that the best advise I or anyone else on this board can give you is to try out every single amp you can, and whatever sounds best to your ears, buy. Music equipment is all perference man. What sounds great to me, might not sound good to you at all.

    Happy Hunting!!!
