I've found a nice 1968 Jazz bass that i'm interested in buying. The owner says that it's all original, however there are no blockinlays.

My question: Did Fender make basses in 68 without blocks?

A lot of them did have blocks, but Fender could have done anything during that time.

Bestr thing to do is check for Neck date and the headstock decal to make sure its original as well as match up all the pots and neck plate, etc.

If you want and have detail pics, I'll be happy to give an opinion but their is a lot of fraud with vintage fender's!
