I think I have a problem. My gas has been completely alleviated. Here is what I have gotten in the past month and a half: 2 Ampeg B3158 combo amps 1 Fender P-bass Boss DF2 Distortion Feedbacker Pedal (Which is the be-all and end-all of distortions to me) Boss CE-3 Chorus And I built a custom pedal board. I...don't desire any more gear. I have 2 basses, 2 amps, 5 pedals, a pedal board. Wow. Should I want anything more? I don't NEED anything. Will I eventually want more? One year ago from yesterday I started with a Squier P-bass pack. Now I am a gigging bassist in a punk rock band with a ridiculous amount of equipment. Back then I had no clue of music theory or any good technique. Now, I have a good grasp of it and decent technique. This has been so much fun.
EMERGENCY! Get this man to the Basses Forum! STAT! -Doctor? What do you think? "Nurse, I think the patient needs to be introduced to a strong regime of Bassnw.com, Basscentral.com and basspalace.com." -Doctor Brendan, will this cure his lack of GAS? "Most likely. Nurse, if he's not drooling in two days, then we have a much more serious case than I thought. Untill then, watch carefully for glassed over eyes and signs of oratory precipitation." -You're the Doc, Brendan. "Darned straight. And keep an eye out for E-Bay deals. Those are a long shot, but they might aid the recovery as well" -Will do Doc! "I'll be on the links, and in the Bass Humor Forum. Call me if there are any negative developments."
AMEN BROTHER BRENDAN!!!!! Nomadic Herder, if you think your GAS is totally sated, you must have mono, or be dead. Has anyone checked your pulse lately? Are you starting to hang out with zombies and vampires? Is your idea of a good time midnight walks through a cemetary? Sheesh!
