It's almost offical. Pending passing a physical and a criminal background check, with which I don't forsee any problems, I will be a RETIRED Police Officer, and will be working as a Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment Case Manager. I've been wanting to get into the mental health field for a while, and through my contacts in CIT Training, which I lead in a 3 County area, I've found a good opportunity. 27 years at my current department, and 28 years in law enforcement is enough. In the coming months, especially after I'm officially retired, I'll be sharing a few of my real thoughts on the law enforcement profession. I can't wait to start "civilian" life!
