They constantly have deals on refurbs and open box stuff. They've got some good deals on some stuff right now, but especially a Fender Standard P Bass open box for 881.99 -25% off with code 25music for a total of $661.50. Killer deal if you ask me. If I wasn't still waiting on my taxes to get back it'd be mine.

That one disappeared while I viewing it last night. Didn't even have time to get out my credit card.

  3. Cool site. I wasn't aware of it before. I suppose you have to check it from time to time. Quality stuff will probably be luck of the draw. Most of the current inventory is low-mid level. But I did see 2 Parker guitars:

    - Fly Mojo but its priced at $3009.99, which I believe is not much of a deal from a liquidation seller. http://www.nobetterdeal.com/shop/en/nbd/-b002dgryjy--1
    - Maxx Fly PDF Series PDF70FRTNG priced at $491.99. I'm not too familiar with Parker, but I'll take a guess the Maxx Fly series are imports? http://www.nobetterdeal.com/shop/en/nbd/-b007ge7fuq--1

Thanks for the heads up on that site.. Not bass related but...

I didn't see any instruments that grabbed me but I did see the Marshall fridge I've been thinking about since it was introduced 4 months ago. It's been in my Amazon cart for $389 for a while I was thinking about it and when I saw it @ $295 -25% I jumped on the last one. $9 shipping too.

..and yes, the indicator is illuminated when it's running!

Update: It arrived and all is well. Not a bad beer cooler for my bass room @ $230 delivered.

It's pretty hit or miss. I've gotten some good deals though. I picked up a Behringer ep2000 open box for under $200 shipped last week. I got a Fishman Loudbox mini for $170 shipped last night. I got a Luna High Tide Uke last year for about $120, it showed up with a broken neck heel. I called them and explained the situation and claimed to be a "guitar fixer" and that I'd be interested in keeping it if I got a discount. Little bit of glue and some cheap clamps from Harbor Freight and I got a pretty sweet little uke for $40. Even got some jaybird wireless bluetooth headphones a couple weeks ago for about $60 instead of the normal $120. Never know what's gonna pop up on there, but certainly something to keep an eye on.

I know it's not a top notch instrument, but I can take it to the beach or backyard acoustic jam. Dean EAB bass open box for under a hundred shipped. Cool:cool:

Tried the discount code last night, no good. And they charge CA sales tax. Hope some worthy TBer was able to land that deal.

Given my recent horror show with Hello Music, I think I'll lay low! Thanks for posting, will check them from time to time.

Hello Music is always hit or miss. I've been lucky in the three times I've bought from them in terms of the shipping time and usual stuff.

You really do not receive any communication from them until your item goes out the door, and sometimes after the fact.

I only buy from them if I'm comfortable without a manufacturers warranty and it's a crazy deal.

    Not familiar with nobetterdeal.com.

  9. Thanks for the heads up...been wanting an acoustic bass to mess around on and grabbed an applause for $135 including shipping.

Hope you did better than me Troy. The acoustic I picked was "open and resealed box" which their site explains as new items that have been opened but resealed.
What I got was not even a Guitar center floor model quality.
It had headstock dings through to the wood, cracks in the finish and possibly the wood on the back, one broken tuner, not from shipping but the internal sealed gear was not working. It had lots of other scratches too. Essentially a players bass with broken parts:rolleyes:
Like they buy used stuff and sell it as open box. And the neck was convex, and I did not want to waste more of my time to discover the truss was busted too.:rollno:
I will let you know tomorrow how customer service handles my return. Definitely a caveat emptor site re: their description reliability.

  11. It was an amazon return....no issues other than the control plate on the fish man had come in snapped. I am not in love but it was cheap.
