    do models like the grendel and kingston have an asymmetrical neck? that thing is really comfy...
    also did Gibson end up bringing back the growler for 2000 and 2001?

    Yes,the Grendel and Kingston have an asymmetrical neck and the 5 strings have a 35" scale.

    BTW,a recent(FEB?) issue of Bass Player has a review of the Kingston 5 which is quite enthusiastic.I got one in November,mine is a 5 with a Rosewood board and pearly white finish.The shop I bought it at just got another one in which is red with a Maple board,which looks cool as well.
