  1. I was rather absent-mindedly rearranging the stuff on the shelf above where I keep my bass, and a can opener fell down and took a little chunk out of the body edge! It's not even visible from closer than 3 feet, but I've damaged my baby! I can't believe I was so stupid!

    At least I can always have the gouge sanded out, since it's not deep at all.

    If you really don't like it,you could always try to get a luthier to fill it with wood or something like that.

  4. Yep, it's my FBB. I emailed Matt about getting it sanded down--his shop is only about 3 hours from Ithaca, so it wouldn't be a big deal to drop it off there, although I'd have to play my Dean for a week :eek:
