I've got a set of FS6's available, no retail box... These were never installed, they were for a project I had that fell through. They list for $370, I'm selling for $210 (PRICE REDUCED!!!) shipped to the lower 48.

***Also, will take trade for a Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass, fretted or fretless***

These didn't come with covers, but I can make wooden covers for an additional cost... I have a lot of cool woods on hand... wenge, bloodwood, maple, purpleheart, etc. If you want a specific cover shape/style, I would need to have one in hand to duplicate, and it would have to conform to the bobbin layout/style...

PM me if you're interested in the pickups, and also with wood options if you want covers made... I'll insert an example pic of covers.

    Thanks for looking,

    Shawn.

They are setup for 18mm bridge spacing... standard for Nordstrand's 6 string pickups.

Too bad--my 6 has 20mm spacing, so these wouldn't be wide enough.

Are these a special custom set? I thought Fatstacks were supposed to be a soapbar type pickup...

They make two types of Fat Stacks... ones that fit a Bartolini route, and ones that fit an EMG route. The actual pickup is the same, but the shape of the bobbin is slightly different, to accomodate the different cover styles. These are the EMG style... please see the picture in the first post of the actual pickups in a (bloodwood) EMG style cover.

I could go $120 for a set of Zebrawood covers... would you want exposed poles, or covered poles?

Unless there is an acoustic reason not to...

I would cover them with around 1/16" of wood... it would not affect their usability or function at all. I just asked because some people (myself at times, for example) like the look of the exposed pole pieces.

Would you want the covers of just Zebrano, or would you want zebrano on the top, and something darker (like wenge) or lighter (like maple) on the bottom? I can also do zebrano covers with a wenge accent line...

Take a look sometime at some of the covers Wilser has made for his basses, covers with the multi-colored laminations... they look pretty sweet!

Let me know... there are a ton of cool thinks that can be done

PM's are also encouraged, to work out details... ;)
