This bass is in excellent shape except for player scratches on the pickguard, some small blemishes underneath the clear coat, and a very small scratch on the control plate. They can be seen in the pics. The bass sounds amazing and the very comfortable neck makes it play really well! These are rarely sold and Carey only makes basses as the desire compels him to and time permits. Comes with a gig bag.

There is a bass that someone is selling that I’ve played and really love, hoping to get my hands on that. Other than that, I’d be interested in the right Pensa 5 string, USA MTD Saratoga, MBasses or Moollon.

 

I'm definitely not great at describing neck profiles... but here goes a try... I'd say it's a modern C shaped profile. It's similar to that of the American Elite Jazz V, but feels a little bit thinner and wider, even though the measurements are likely close. It gives me a vintage vibe, with more modern conturing and it feels great from the beginning. Didn't take long to get used to. If you play 5 string jazz basses pretty regularly this will feel amazing in your hands.

Thanks a lot!!! I honestly thought it would be gone way before now. I’ve had a number of people tell me they don’t like the color. Not sure if it’s the major reason why, but it’s certainly one of the reasons.
