    hey folks
I'm in the market to spend up to about 400-500 on a new bass but can't get on with any of these funky shaped things (for example yamaha rbx series) i much prefer p-bass/mm stingray/jazz style basses.
    any recommendations?
from what i've seen i really like the look of the G&L tribute L-2000 but don't know where to get them from (again any ideas?)
also yamaha's new bb series aren't too bad (i have an old bb1100s thats a bit shagged and in need of attention).
cheers folks (no offence to people that like the 'irregular' style basses btw!)

  2. The G&L Tributes are absolutely awesome values, in my opinion. The L-2000s that I have tried have all been much better than anything else even close to the price. I noticed that you're in hte UK, but I was going to recommend Bass Northwest (link) as a good place to get one. I don't have a clue about Britain.
