Because Photobucket has chosen to in effect "take down" everyone's photos (unless you pay them), we have extended post edit time in the Luthier's Corner to UNLIMITED.  If you used photobucket and happen to still have your images of builds, you can go back and fix as many of your posts as far back as you wish.

Northern Ash or Southern Ash?

  1. I realize Northern Ash is much more dense and heavy, but what give a better tone?

  3. Which one gives a tighter and thicker low end? Which one gives warmer and fuller mids? Which one gives cleaner highs?
     
  4. I think that depends on the individual board more than anything.

    Where do you intend to use it?

    Neck? Body? Bolt-on? Set neck? Neckthru? etc

    It all depends on usage and...the individual plank.
