When a band, say from North America is doing a tour in Europe how do they plug their amps in?
The plugs are different. Do they have converters?

    Explain this, to this youngin'

  2. Most bands will rent their equipment here in Europe. Same goes for euro bands in the US. It really isn't cost-effective to move all that stuff across continents unless you're at the level of "huge". Usually, all that bands bring along is their axes and effects(for which they do get a converter).

Even the huge bands will rent backline gear when they go to a different continent.

I never even thought about renting gear. I thought I would find this out before, well you know. When the crowds come a calling:D
