NOS Tube prices

    Is $30 a fair price for one NOS RCA 12au7 "clear top"?

    This might be the wrong forum, though...

    don't know for a fact but off the cuff $30 for about any 12au7 sounds steep, 12ax7 different matter. Other variables to consider though: black plate, whatever.

    Check completed auctions in ebay and google search online for that tube. There are a number of big tube vendors on the net and lots of guys involved with ebay.
