purchased this new old stock 400 a few weeks ago from a pv dealer....

100% original. TB's own PBG states this amp perfectly replicates his 70' SVT tone, but is LOUDER! A '75 SVT just sold on the Bay for $1500. WOW.

    $700 + shipping :hyper: :hyper:

:eyebrow: I thought I felt a disturbance in the force!

:smug: That is a find and a 1/2!

Got any pictures you can send me? I'm fine with the one I have (not that I wouldn't take it in a heartbeat if I had and extra $1100 on me)... but I'm building a page on the Classic 400 and collecting images of every one I can get.

my email is webguy (at) hartsafire (dot) com

Nice... I just scored one of these myself used... can't wait to start rockin' my Spector through it! Tweed is definitly the way to go on this amp, IMO. Nothin' looks classier, and nothin' kicks more a--. :D

I have to differ with your Tweed comment. Black is where it's at man!

Both are cool. Just when I think C400, I think tweed :p. Heck, when I think any tube amp, I think tweed... odd :eyebrow:.

My NOS tweed Classic 400 is still going through its technical evaluation/repairs before the ship it out to me. But once I get it, I'll be happy to post photos, reviews, or whatever information James, et al would like.

I have a "V8 Users Support Group" e-mail group, and we have shared a lot of very useful information. Is there interest in a "Classic 400 Users Support Group?"

    Tom.

James is starting one, that's why he wants all the info :). I forget the site that he's going to put up for it... just watch TB for it, I'm sure someone will mention it.
