Not a bass cab.

I play both guitar and bass. Currently I'm using a Roland modeling amp for guitar and an SWR SM-400s with a Hartke 4X10 (no tweeter) for bass.
I'm not completly happy with my guitar sound, and could really use some floor space, so I was thinking of buying a guitar preamp and using my SWR as a poweramp for when I want to play guitar (eventually upgrading to a seperate PA poweramp). But I'm afraid of losing to much top end from the Hartke cab.
Could anybody recommend an affordable, quality cab with a fairly "flat" frequency response?
Could anybody tell me why this would be a very bad idea?

I don't think you'll lose "highs" with the 4x10 cab. Using a pre, and setting the EQ for guitar freqs should work just fine. Thats a really "bright" cab. I use a 410XL for bass and its too bright and thin unless I boost the lows and low mids substantially.
