Before the last words showed about where it is, I thought it was installed in a prison...
The pickguard and the plate control should be black. Knobs, bridge, tuners and logo, gold.
Before I decided to go with something else, I was actually thinking about buying one of these and putting a gold pickguard on it...not those dull plastic Fender ones, but a nice, shiny gold mirror one.
I prefer the black pickguard, but that's just me. I see the attraction to add more gold.
A tort one would look nice too. Or dark red, like red wine red.
I could live with this.
Yes, very nice!
I'm guessing that's one of those Spitfire pickguards that cost more than some basses.
Anyone still wear Reeboks?
It looks like one.
They're gorgeous, but pricey.
Meanwhile, in the “throw it at the wall and see what sticks” department...
I bet that gold guard is a fingerprint magnet.
Well, it would likely be your plucking hand that would be soiling the guard I’d think. Even the matt anodized Fender guard is a bit of a fingerprint magnet.
I think I’d like it without the gold guard... but... that is the best pick guard ever to have with you to signal to passing aircraft if one ever finds themselves lost alone In the wilderness... with their bass...
Perfect bass to take to a desert island, then.
Yes, I know. The glove would keep that from happening.
