Anyone think they'll come out with Not Even Slinky or Beefy Slinky strings for bass?

They were just released for guitar, so I guess it might be awhile before they make them for bass.

Check out the John Petrucci vid at www.ernieball.com

I think it's pretty unlikely as you're starting off with a much reduced market (compare the number of bassists with guitarists) and Power Slinkies are pretty extreme as it is for the vast majority of bassists.
  3. Try considering a 5-String Set. I too was disappointed that they don't make a "Beefy Slinky Bass" or "Not Even Slinky Bass" but I think this is because there are 5 string sets. Most companies end their 4-string sets at .105, some at .110 and I've seen some at .115. Depending on what tuning you are playing should determine what gauges you should be using. So look into getting a 5-string set. The gauges go from .125, .130, and .135. Good luck.
