As you all know, I have consistently recommended a minimum amp power of 300 watts for playing out. Beginning January 1, 2003, after I have had a chance to wring out my new WT-800 (which should arrive next week), I will be increasing my recommendation to 600 watts, leaving myself 200 extra watts of headroom out of leniency toward you.

Also, until further notice, I will continue to endorse and advocate Eden products.

Please refer any questions or complaints to Gard at Bass Central.

With all this talk of a new amp, Im wondering if you have any plans for your WT-300.

I might be willing to take it off your hands if the price is right.

Of course I realize that its not enough power, but perhaps I could use it as a pre-amp with an 800 Watt power amp.

    Do you approve?

Well anyways, just curious if its for sale, and if so, how much.

    Peace
    Nick

You mean my pre-Peavey WT-300? Sure man ... first $2,500 takes it (apologies to whomever I stole that from).

Actually, I ordered one of those little carrying bags for it when I ordered the WT-800. The 300 is my new practice/small gig amp. Sorry.

Yep, with all the dough I got when I sold my Pre-Peavey cabs, I can buy at LEAST a few Epifani cabs;)

    Aww too bad for me.

Pretty sweet deal for you though. Using that as a nice, extreemely portable, low volume amp isnt a bad idea. Its actually one of the ideas I wanted it.

    Hope you enjoy your WT-800!

    Peace
    Nick

  7. Does this mean that as of Jan 1st all live music will be 3 db louder or we will all be 3 db deafer.... Just kidding, nothing like the anticipation of a new piece of gear....:D

Perhaps, but if Eden pulls through and releases the WT-550, then arent you gonna feel like a dope.

But its ok, Ill let you play through my WT-550 and two 210XST cabs.

If all goes good, I will have that rig someday.

    Peace
    Nick

  11. I would be worried, what with my Fafner being rated at 440 and all, but 440 from EBS is 800 from most American companies, so I'm safe.

Me too-400 extra watts to be exact. But they're Carvinwatts, so it's pretty much the opposite of McFerrin's situation.

I played a gig tonight at 175 watts, and couldn't turn up past 4 on the head. This is a restaurant that has three floors, and we were loud enough that you could still hear the music on the third floor at a decent volume.

Oh, and the guitar player was only using a 7 1/2 watt combo. :D

I'd say you people worry a little too much about my opinion.
