    What do you guys have against this thing?

    I think it is a cool idea. It's obviously not an instrument that you are going to take on a regular gigging schedual, but as art and craftsmanship I think this is a very cool piece.

    I really like the natural edges of the burl showing. It seems to be built reasonably well, the carving is well done, and there is alot of money wrapped up in those solid burl wings.

    I'm sorry, but when I look at it, it reminds me of those home made clocks you see at flea markets with the stick-on numbers and cheap crappy clock action in the back that's powered by an AA battery.

    If you like a live edge on your burl, you'll like this-- for me it just looks like something took a bite out of it...
