... just like the rest of my harem. Any suggestions for a FNA four? I run Fender 9050Ms on everything but the ABGs and the Steinbergers, but I do have a new set of Roto "Steve Harris" .050 ~ .110 flats lying around. I suspect they'd sound like the voice of doom!
me too, I got a warwick yesterday but that is a Corvette Standard 6 I think i will put warwick Black lights (.040-.060-.080-.100) on mine: it has worked on my previous bass, nice clear and punchy, but much smoother than the normal ones. You might even try Elixir or Fodera, some people here say they are quite good - but i havent yet tried them (and cant even get the foderas here)
oh you wrote flats in the title? sorry, i didnt notice that at first... then Warwick is out... hows about TI flats, then?
i read on there web site they were talking to this bass player and he said to uses flats on a Corvette stnd. for a sic motown sound. omg i dont know why i started useing round wounds again, iam so going back, after i try them red ghs.
have a corvette classic 5 rockbass fromn warwick and it was just too bright and raucous even with TI jazz rounds (mellow for rounds) was going to sell it, then tried TI jazz flats which i have on my fretless mim jazz, couldn't be happier. i play through a mesa walkabout and aggie 1x12 and the combination is incredible. very different than my jazz. give them a try. bill
I want to try some flats on my Thumb 4 someday. Maybee TI's. I have a set of LaBella Flats (The Jamerson Set) just sittin' around 'cause they don't fit my '01 P-Bass (string-thru only bridge).
