NPD - Everybody's Russian!

    Hello all!

    Feels like it has been forever since I've been able to contribute anything to this board, but such is the life of the broke college student.

    Anyway, I just graduated and landed a great job, so I decided to treat myself to a brand spanking new to me pedal! For $30 I couldn't pass this thing up. I used to own the nano version and didn't think I was getting my money's worth, but this thing is a beast!

    I'll be doing the trimpot mod eventually, and will make a new thread FULLY DETAILING every step I take, for the people on the board who want to do the mod but are afraid of damaging something.

    I got one of them for twice that price. I did a shootout with the old NYC model, and they both sounded identical to me. The USA won because it's slightly smaller and didn't take up as much room on my board. My Russian BB just sits in my closet now.

    To be fair I think my Nano might have been faulty, as there was a constant Whoooosh sound (dumb explanation I know, but it's all I've got!) that was constantly going when the pedal was engaged, even if I wasn't playing.

    The russian to my ears sounds a bit wetter, with a bit less fizzy distortion. I find the dist. on the Russian to be more smooth and overdrive like than fuzzy, which I found on the USA Nano.
