My search for a compressor that I love on my fretless is over! WOO HOO! :hyper:

I've tried the TC Electronic Spectracomp (my first one), the Diamond, and the Markbass Compressore--all based of my reading reviews including people's recommendations here, Ovnilab reviews, and so on (thank you, good folks!). While each of these worked fine for my fretted bass, none of them were quite "it" for what I wanted a compressor to do for my fretless. (I guess part of that comes from my basic lack of skills with compressors).

And so I came across the Lehle RMI Basswitch Dual Band Bass Compressor:

and decided to buy it (it was a fairly steep price, but used a Labor Day Sales discount). It sounds fantastic on fretless! And on fretted. And it's super easy to dial in even for a compression clutz like me.

    Here's the Ovnilab review:
Ruppert Musical Instruments/Lehle Basswitch Dual Band

    Wonderful thing. Me happy! :bassist:

(Though I will at some point have to make up something to justify the fairly high price to Mrs veryvery.)
