I really like it a lot. I used it some last night in Logic and it adds this richness, just fills out the tone nicely. I posted this in another thread but I though it would get more dirty. Not a negative, it's just not what I was expecting.
Mine (original 1-knob version) gets plenty dirty for what I want out of it, but it's definitely not going to get into fuzz territory.
Desert island pedal, bro. Adds such magic to distal OD/distortion effects and, incidentally, sounds fantastic as a dirty grind/boost on its own. Can't see a way I'd ever take mine off my pedal board (it pushed my Wren n' Cuff Suppa Phat Phuk off doing the same type of role).
I wonder what a fifth gear pushing a suppa phat phuk would sound like... Same! I want both still as well haha
I really need to wait and let you all know once my band is up and running again, and I'm playing at full volume. We are having a bit of a hiatus waiting on a new practice space. I have only been using my board for recording in Logic lately. Sounds great though to me. The PPB adds a bit of high frequency, not over powering but just a little niceness, to the 5th Gear. I am really liking these two currently without pushing them too hard. Their subtle qualities are amazing imo.
Here is an amazing Bassist, and local to my city. A legend in the Canadian Bass community. Check out his stuff.
