Having experienced near instant seller’s remorse after parting with my minty Boss OC-2, I was looking into comparable “clones” and thanks to Talkbass, decided to pull the trigger on the inexpensive BUT INCREDIBLE Valeton OC-10.

The packaging was nicer than expected and the pedal came with two ready to apply adhesive strips (one hook side velcro & one foam pad.)
The pedal itself is TINY and has the Boss-like fit and finish. The circuit itself sounds GREAT and I’m hard pressed to say that this pedal may in fact track better than the OC-2 that I owned. The octave itch has been scratched. And for $53 NEW!

I wholeheartedly recommend this bad boy to anyone looking for that distinctive OC-2 flavor at a fraction of the cost.

  2. it really is a great little box, I wanted to squeeze an OC2 on my board but just didn't have the space; grabbed one of these and never looked back.

  3. i got myself one a couple of weeks ago for £35, an absolute bargain, especially compared to a used oc2, and an incredible pedal, i love the sound!

I have the OC-10, as well as a MXR Bass Octave Deluxe. I'm not sure which I want to keep.
