NS DESIGN CR-5 5-STRING ELECTRIC UPRIGHT BASS (STEINBERGER)

For sale is my "stick bass" as people like to incorrectly call it..

This model comes with the magnetic pickups, as well as the two piezo pickups to choose from a total of 3 totally different sets of pickups...

Controls are: master volume, piezo/magnetic blend pan-pot, piezo blend pan-pot (which allows you to dial in somewhere between an articulate, clearer pizzicato sound, to a deeper, "Latin/Salsa tone" which is also very suitable for bowing), treble boost/cut, bass boost/cut. Amber stained finish.

Another cool feature that allows for even more of a stand-up "acoustic bass" sound is the ability to have the bass strung up with your choice of regular double bass strings. However, a brand new set of the specially formulated D'Addario strings made specifically for the NS Design basses were installed just a few weeks ago and never even played out. Very few hours on them. A $100 value... This setup works well as a more versatile hybrid set, accenting the fretless character of the bass with the magnetic pickups, while still allowing for a flat wound, thumpier upright sound when desired. (these are the same strings that NS ships with the instrument.)

Included is the tripod stand, and soft gig bag that came with it.

This bass has seen little use. Is in great shape with just a few nicks and dings here and there.
