There's some additional blurb on Ned Steinberger's website, along with contact info for Steinberger distributors. From what I gather, the NS Stick is a little easier to play conventionally, ie. pick or fingers, than a standard Stick. Probably costs an arm and a leg, though. (For me, anything more than $1500 is an arm and a leg; YMMV.)

I'm not a "Stick" user, but I do have an 8-string Warr guitar for sale in wenge' and zebrawood. Have pics I can send.

  6. Ahh, a Warr guitar. What exactly is that? Oh, and please excuse my ignorance

I think if you are desparate for opinions, the best way to get these would be to email Steinberger on the site I mentioned above and ask for names of those who have used them and whether they would be willing to correspond about their experiences. This is a very specialist instrument that is fairly expensive, so it's to be expected that there are a small number of users and it's not suprising that they aren't readers of this site. They might not even consider themselves as "bass players" as such.
