  1. Sorry I had to leave early but I had to catch my plane back here. A million thanks to Mike Jewels for organizing everything, Mike Dimin for being a great guy, clinician, and making me slack jawed in awe of his chops.

UNITED AIRLINES rules!! I was able to carry my double gig bag on board on all 4 flights!!!! :)

And here a few pics I managed to snap off before I ran:

There are more pics in the pipeline.... I got caught despite my best attempts.

In the background of the second pic, there's my rig (Aguilar DB680/EA CXL112) then Nino's (Fender Bassman combo). Mike D had his iamp500 and NL-210. I brought the Kern preamp as well for peeps to try out.

    bass wise, I had:
    Elrick 5
    Pedulla Rapture P/J 5
    Cirrus 5
    Fender Geddy Lee Jazz
    Aria Pro-II SB-1000

Interestingly, as Roger S pointed out, I had the only Fender there!

It was great meeting all of you! :D

  16. Mike Dimin brought his EA iamp 800 and new light EA 2x10 cab and it sounded great!!!!!!!!! The cab is about 1/2 to 2/3 the weight of my VL-210 that I bought around the turn of the century.

I forgot what other bass amps were there.

Basses...so many: Sadowsky, Valenti, MTD, Ken Smith, Bongo, Ibanez circa 1970s, Warwick thumb bo and Major Metals' one off Warwick hollobody, Pulcinella, Fender, Pedulla.

I'm sure I forgot some gear.

I had a great time guys!!!!

BIG thanks to Mike Jewels & his great camera work!!!!! :smug:

It's pretty humbling after hearing alot of you guys play. Mike is an ABSOLUTE monster. He's playing this awesome lick, effortlessly while talking about theory, all in the same motion. I can hardly walk & chew gum at the same time.

Mike's MTD's were pretty freaking awesome as well. The action LOW. I mean, the strings were almost on the fretboard & the crazy thing was it didn't buzz until I dug it.

Lots of cool basses & the wacky thing was ONLY ONE FENDER. A Geddy Lee!!!!!

  19. Nino's right. I can barely do backround harmonies and play and Mike is doing all this? He must have two brains. But......

I was impressed with Mike until I shook hands to say good-bye. He has seven fingers on each hand.

    ;)
