SVTBASS had a bass just like this. I played it and it was amazing. Really love these older modern basses.

SVTb15 I thought it was yours. When I first saw it and then the serial number being that low it had to be in the early 90's or mid. That bass as I remember it was an amazing bass.

    Bassists30,
these folks nowadays, whom own these new Sadowsky basses, do not have any Idea how GOOD THESE Older model sound.....
The resonance is Implacable and the Tone none to compare.....
    Very LIGHTWEIGHT.....THE BEST!!!!

I had two 1990s Sadowsky NYC basses (a classic Jazz-style 4-string with a tobacco sunburst finish and maple fretboard, and a modern 5-string with a quilt maple top). Both were (and I am sure still ARE) fantastic basses. The 4-string is now owned by Steve Mackey, Delbert McClinton’s bassist, and I have seen and heard it on-stage and on TV several times since he bought it from me. I really needed the money when I sold those two Sadowsky basses, or I would still have both of them.

Whoever buys this bass will be getting a great instrument .... no doubt about it!

That bass of yours. .( my old one :) Was fantastic!. Teh NOTES POP out of it!
The neck is SOLID.. I like these older ones. These older dont have the stiffening bars and for me it makes the notes have more BLOOM in a GOOD way. I played it on sessions in NYC before I moved to Texas, I sold years later while in TEXAS to buy a new NYC Sadowsky. I think i sold it around 2003 or 2004 or so.
I bought YOURS brand new. Picked put the body that was pre made. Only took about 11 weeks or so at that time. I don't want to tell you what i paid for it back then.
Good luck with the sale. anyone who buys this has a great early model and sort of RARE bass.

Thank you for your advice....Greatly appreciated..
As I mentioned before, if my financial situation changes, I will hold on to it....

I was thinking about refinishing it in either:
    Fiesta Red or
Burgundy Mist if I hold on to it....
